Movie Summary:

Setting in the midst of World War I, “War Horse” tells the story of a young teenage boy named Albert and the strong friendship he shares with his horse, whom he names Joey.  When Joey is taken by the U.S. Army to be trained as a military horse, Albert enlists himself in the Army because he is determined to be reunited with his beloved horse. 

“War Horse” is a movie that contains what you would expect in a war film, a lot of violence.  It is also very touching and teaches the morals of friendship, courage, persistence and the willing to fight for what you believe in.
